Quantitative Methods
Students learn to apply their knowledge of mathematical concepts, logic and reason to a variety of application problems. This ensures that students develop strong foundations in problem solving and general ability.

Writing Practice
Students attempt written work in class under the guidance of their teacher, in addition to weekly homework tasks which are marked and returned with feedback so that students are constantly reviewing their writing.

English Analysis
In class students are guided through an assortment of texts by their teacher to explore core syllabus ideas and outcomes. Students learn how to get to the bottom of what a text is trying to say, and how to use textual evidence.

Theoretical Mathematics
Students build up a comprehensive understanding and confidence in Mathematics as they are guided through a theoretical understanding and rigorous exam-style questions.

Students receive a full textbook produced by our academic team for Quantitative Methods and Mathematics and another for English and Writing.

Students receive full written solutions to all of their Mathematics homework problems each week and detailed marked feedback on written homework in English.

9 weekly lessons per term
Every lesson at QED Education is structured around comprehensively addressing the syllabus. We then take teachers who are experts in their field and deliver a comprehensive class to each of our students, every time.
Quantative methods and Mathematics
90 minQuantitative Methods and Mathematics teaches students the official NESA Mathematics curriculum from the ground up, and tackle a range of problem solving and exam-style questions.
Students learn to apply their knowledge of mathematical concepts, logic and reason to a variety of application problems. This part of the QWEM course develops critical thinking and students’ ability to set up and solve challenging problems.
Students build up a comprehensive understanding and confidence in Mathematics by learning every part of the NESA curriculum in their weekly theory lessons.
Once the foundations have been laid, core syllabus ideas are taken further through development and exam-style questions to build problem solving skills and consolidate knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum.
Exam-style questions are woven throughout the QWEM course textbooks to give students important practice applying syllabus concepts to challenging questions. In addition, weekly quizzes and regular revision exams take place to monitor progress and help build exam technique.
Writing and english
90 minWriting Practice and English Analysis forms the bedrock for primary literacy and teaches students the fundamental syllabus ideas in English by exploring a range of texts, as well as developing their core written skills.
Writing is the most fundamental skill in English and is a central part of the QWEM course. In each lesson students work through a breadth of comprehension, analytical and persuasive writing to build confidence and expertise, and written homework is marked with detailed feedback each week to encourage progress.
Teachers guide students through the analysis of various texts to teach them the fundamentals of textual analysis in English and to explore core syllabus concepts. Students develop an appreciation for context, writing techniques and purpose in creating meaning.
Students learn how to read effectively and get to the heart of what a text is trying to say. Reading and responding to extracts both in class and at home exposes students to a breadth of different concepts, ideas and techniques to drive improvement in English.
Exam-style questions are woven throughout the QWEM course textbooks to give students important practice applying syllabus concepts to challenging questions. In addition, students sit a final writing examination in English to further refine exam technique.
